Illness Fatal To Clara Dickson - Church Rites Set For Boone Native Mrs. Clara E. Dickson of Shannondale, a native of Boone county, died early this morning at the Davis Nursing Home in Thorntown after a four and on-half-year illness. She had been in serious condition for two weeks. Mrs. Dickson, who was 82 years old, had lived in Boone and Montgomery counties most of her life and in Shannondale the past several years. She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian church there. Born June 15, 1873, her parents were James and Rachel (Sutton) Darrough. She was married December 18, 1892, at Center Grove church to Quincy Dickson, who passed away May 24, 1945. She leaves two sons, Oral R. of Indianapolis and Lawrence Dickson of near Darlington, and one granddaughter, Carolee Dickson. Three grandsons, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death. Last rites will be observed at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Shannondale Presbyterian church with burial following in the Shannondale cemetery. Rev. Elbert Smith will be the officiation minister. Friends may call at the Russell and Hitch funeral home in Thorntown after 7 p.m. today until noon. Sunday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of service.
